Print-A-Report Organizer Pro
PowerSchool® SIS is one of the most powerful student information systems out there. One of the biggest advantages is that it allows users to customize screens and functionality. This Print-A-Report Organizer Pro plugin is designed to enhance the Print A Report function in PowerSchool®.
The default Print a Report function lacks options for customization. Most districts have many Object Reports, Report Cards, or Labels that are used at either elementary, middle, or high school level. The drop-down menu -- located where the user would select a report to print -- would show the entire list of reports and the user would have to scroll through to find the report they are looking for. Many times it's very difficult to find the right report, and users sometimes avoided printing it entirely. Security has also been an issue as reports are visible to all users.
This plugin was created to enhance the functionality of the Print A Report function. The Print-A-Report Organizer Pro plugin allows organization of Object Reports, Form Letters, Report Cards, and Labels in the following four ways:
- Categories - Each report can be assigned to a category selected by the user, depending on what is most convenient for them.
- School Allocation - The reports can also be assigned to specific schools. (Ie. elementary school staff does not need to see high school transcripts or report cards etc.) Class attendance reports can be shown only to the secondary schools.
- Security - The security on the reports can be controlled through security groups. This way, fee reports can only be generated by the main office, or medical reports can be only managed by nurses.
- Inactivation - The reports can be inactivated so that they do not appear in the drop-down for the users. An admin user can work on a new report or existing report at their own pace. There is an option to make the report available when it is ready to be used.
- Compatibility - It's compatible with PS versions 12x or higher.
